This week at C & J Flooring, we took a step back from the usual — and it’s safe to say, we’re loving the results.
While herringbone and wood-effect designs have become staples in modern homes, sometimes it’s refreshing to shake things up. That’s exactly what happened with our latest project in Carlisle.

Our client wanted something with character — timeless, bold, and a little different from the trends we usually see. The answer: a classic black and white chequerboard floor, fitted on the diagonal.

A truly striking finish that brings a retro charm with a modern edge. Fitting the pattern on the diagonal added a fresh twist, creating movement and making the space feel more dynamic and open.
